Before releasing their sophomore album Soft, Bones UK dropped their unapologetic single “Bikinis.” The track champions individuality and uniqueness, beginning with a groovy, softer verse and rising to a catchy chorus. “Bikinis” stands as an anthem of self-love.

The music video depicts the duo in knight's armor, heads wrapped in chainmail, and swords placed in their hands. Between shots where they are seemingly frozen in time, reminiscent of action figures, they are seen fighting, posing, and staring at their weapons. Under the armor is sweatpants, which is actually relatively accurate to what knights would wear historically. The calmer scenes and more dangerous poses stay in line with the song's infectious energy and unapologetic lyricism.

Their Soft-more album arrived on September 13, 2024, boasting collaborations with Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins) and Mike Schuman (Queens of the Stone Age), alongside other empowering anthems. Their signature blend of influences is front and center throughout the album, pulling elements from classic rock, electronica, and more. It was carefully crafted over five years in London, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Texas. Building on the massive success of their 2019 self-titled debut, Soft resonated with fans worldwide, reaching millions of eyes and ears while landing in plenty of major publications and year-end lists.

“It’s everything you loved about the first record, turned up,” said vocalist and guitarist Rosie Bones. “Keeping things scrappy, raw and real, with enough electronic beats to keep our industrial dance-heads happy and enough heartbreakers to keep our romantics listening.”

BIKINIS // LYRICS

Skinhead girls in bikinis, grinding to the sound of Puccini
Beautiful boys in the bathroom eye lined, guyliner, perfume

Is this not what you pictured
We can make your soul a little richer
Look at them babies burning
Oh look wait you're fucking learning

We can go low, lower than low
We can go high, we can go all day and all night
We can be the victim, we can be the villain
We can be slain or we can be killing
If you want know, come and take a look see
It's the brand new sexy

Skinhead boys in bikinis, jumping to the sound of Puccini
Beautiful girls in the bathroom guy lined, lip liner, perfume
Is this not what you're used to
Lay back let it run into you
Look at those babies burning
Ahh look wait your fucking learning
We can go low, lower than low
We can go high, we can go all day and all night
We can be the victim, we can be the villain
We can be slain or we can be killing
If you want know, come and take a look see
At the brand new sexy

You're fan-fucking-fabulous
You're fan-fucking-fabulous
You're fan-fucking-fabulous
You're fan-fucking-fabulous

We can go low, lower than low
We can go high, we can go all day and all night
We can be the victim, we can be the villain
We can be slain or we can be killing
If you want know, come and take a look see,
It's the brand new sexy
